SICK AND HOMEBOUND COMMUNION CALLS
Our Family of Parishes is blessed to have several parishioners who currently serve as Extraordinary Ministers of Communion to parishioners who are sick or homebound on a monthly basis. If you are a Eucharistic Minister and interested in helping, please contact your Parish Office and let them know. This ministry, a corporal work of mercy – visiting the sick – reminds those who are homebound that they are an important part of our faith community.
We are also creating a list of sick or homebound parishioners in need of a Communion Call. If you know a parishioner who is sick or homebound and would like to receive a monthly Communion Call, please call your Parish Office and ask to have them added to our list.

NYS Eucharistic Congress
The eight Catholic diocese of New York State are sponsoring a historic statewide Eucharistic Congress, which will be held at Our Lady of Martyrs Shrine in Auriesville, NY from October 20-22, 2023.
The Eucharistic Congress is taking place as part of a national effort to reinvigorate devotion to the Eucharist on a national level. This National Eucharistic Revival, sponsored by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, aims to restore understanding and fidelity to the great mystery of Jesus really and truly present in the Eucharist and to encourage all Catholics to make the Eucharist the source and summit of their faith.
The NYS Congress website will be updated regularly to provide information on the complete schedule of events, the speakers who will captivate and inspire the crowd, religious services that will take place, and nearby places to stay. It will also allow participants to register to attend and/or sign up to volunteer during this historic three-day event. The bishops of New York State have launched an easy-to-use website http://nyseucharisticcongress.org to provide comprehensive information about the New York State Eucharistic Congress and to allow people to register for the event.

Announcement from Bishop Michael Fisher
Bishop Michael Fisher is pleased to announce the finalizing of an action plan for the diocese called, A Light unto my path…guiding us through 2026.
How does this plan work with Road to Renewal?
The Road to Renewal (RTR) is a central strategic goal of the Diocese and the plan which has been underway is a critical component as articulated in Goal 1.
The RTR direction is unaltered and proceeding as currently underway.
This Action Plan complements by clarifying the expectations for Renewal for all areas of the Diocesan functions and activities.
This Action Plan captures additional aspects of the current Diocesan work including formation, schools, accountability, and outreach. It also strives to reinforce our Catholic principles and behaviors to energize our culture.
In the next few bulletins, we will provide updates on Bishop Michael Fisher’s action plan.
Please read more about A Light unto my path on the Diocese of Buffalo’s news site at wnycatholic.org
