“Hope is always possible. To those who care for the sick, the scene of the Cross provides a way of understanding that even when it seems that there is nothing more to do there remains much to do, because ‘remaining’ by the side of the sick is a sign of love and of the hope that it contains. Healed by Jesus, we become men and women called to proclaim his healing power and provide care for our neighbors, until the very end.”

Prayer Shawl - Create beautiful shawls with beautiful intentions
Meet the 3rd Sunday of the month at 11:30 am in the upper OLHC Parish Hall
Chapel Prayer Shawl Ministry: A prayer shawl is especially handcrafted to bring comfort to anyone experiencing difficulties - whether they are physical, mental, or spiritual. Prayers and positive thoughts for healing and peace are woven into each stitch and prayers are said over the completed shawls by our ministry before they are brought to church to be blessed at Mass.
These shawls are offered free of charge to anyone seeking comfort knowing that others are praying for them. Although they are lovely, these shawls are not meant to be fashion accessories. Anyone in need of extra prayers, regardless of parish a affiliations, can request a shawl by leaving a message with the Central Office at 716 276-9288.
If you or someone you know is interested in being a part of this ministry, please feel free to join us in the Upper Parish Hall on the 3rd Sunday of the month at 11:30 or if you aren't able to come to the meetings but would still like to be a part of this ministry, please call let the Central Office know and we will contact you.

St. Josaphat Food Pantry
As part of the family of parishes model, St. Josaphat's Church, in addition to its own Parishioners needs, also serves the Parishioners of Resurrection, Our Lady Help of Christians, and Queen of Martyrs. Any parishioners from any of these parishes in need of the pantry are more than welcome to use it. Simply call the rectory at 716-893-1086 to schedule an appointment. All calls and visits are confidential.
St. Josaphat’s New Food Pantry Hours St. Josaphat's Food pantry will now be open on Saturdays from 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. Anyone needing assistance or wishing to make a donation outside of these hours may call the central office at 716-276-9288 to schedule an appointment. At the moment we are also in need of reusable bags. If you have any reusable bags you would like to donate, we will gladly accept those. Thank you to all our parishioners from all four of our churches who give so generously.
Also, during Lent, donation containers will be made available at all the parishes for those wishing to contribute financially to the pantry. All proceeds go directly to the pantry, which relies entirely on generous contributions. Please join us in helping to feed the hungry and make a difference in someone's life.
