Prayer Shawl— April 19th at 11:30am—OLHC Upper Parish Hall. New members welcome.
Chapel Prayer Shawl Ministry: A prayer shawl is especially handcrafted to bring comfort to anyone experiencing difficulties - whether they are physical, mental, or spiritual. Prayers and positive thoughts for healing and peace are woven into each stitch and prayers are said over the completed shawls by our ministry before they are brought to church to be blessed at Mass.
These shawls are offered free of charge to anyone seeking comfort knowing that others are praying for them. Although they are lovely, these shawls are not meant to be fashion accessories. Anyone in need of extra prayers, regardless of parish a affiliations, can request a shawl by leaving a message with the Central Office at 716 276-9288.
If you or someone you know is interested in being a part of this ministry, please feel free to join us in the Upper Parish Hall on the 3rd Sunday of the month at 11:30 or if you aren't able to come to the meetings but would still like to be a part of this ministry, please call let the Central Office know and we will contact you.
Garden Club - The Chapel Garden Club is responsible for taking care of the shrubs and flower beds around both churches, the grotto, the rectory, and the mausoleum. Flowers are provided for the members to plant in their respective places. We are always in need of new members. If you interested in helping out, please leave your name and phone number at the rectory and someone from the club will get back to you. We will have a short meeting on the Chapel grounds on Saturday, April 25th at noon to discuss what area for which you will be responsible. The space you will take care of will be of reasonable size. Thank you in advance for your considering helping the club.

2026 Pilgrimage to Poland
Due to the interest of so many parishioners from our family of parishes and others Fr. Jozef would like to organize another Pilgrimage to Poland from August 31 to September 9, 2026. Our last Pilgrimage was very good, safe, and extremely enjoyable for all who attended. This time we will visit some new cities, shrines and churches as well. The tour will include Baltic Sea cities such as Gdańsk and Sopot, Toruń where Polish astronomer and mathematician Mikołaj Kopernik (Nicolaus Copernicus) was born. Toruń is also famous for its magnificent medieval architecture, historical monuments, and its Gothic Old Town with its stunning cathedrals. Gniezno, the first capital of Poland and a key site for the spread of Christianity beginning in 966; Wrocław; Kraków - the second capital and most famous cultural city of Europe, the shrine of Częstochowa; and Warsaw, the present capital and largest city in Poland. The total cost per person will be approximately $3,700 including roundtrip airfare (from Buffalo) and lodging. Exact itinerary and cost will be provided in December. If interested in taking part in this exceptional experience, please contact Sandi Smith via email at: [email protected], or telephone: 716-866-6493. If we receive a good response we will proceed with further planning. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to preregister.
